Consultation on Draft Credit Union Act 1997 (section 182(1)(j)) Regulations 2012
 
 
Draft Credit Union Act 1997 (section 182(1)(j)) Regulations 2012 were agreed by the Minister for Finance. Under section 182(1)(j) Credit Union Act 1997, the Minister may make regulations providing for the inspection, and furnishing of copies, of documents in the custody of the Bank. Under s182(1)(j) the Minister must consult with the Central Bank, the Advisory Committee and any other body appearing to the Minister to have expertise and knowledge of credit unions, prior to the making of regulations under s182(1)(j).
 
These draft regulations will provide for the Central Bank to make documents available for inspection by an officer of the Minister and for copies of those documents to be made available.
 
The Minister for Finance invites interested parties to make submissions on the making of these regulations.
 
The closing date for responses to this consultation is 4pm Thursday 22 November 2012.
