11.06.09Minister for Finance, Mr. Brian Lenihan TD, welcomes the nomination of Mr. Pat Molloy as the Governor Designate of the Bank of Ireland
The Minister for Finance, Mr. Brian Lenihan, today stated:
“I welcome the decision by the Court of the Bank of Ireland to nominate Mr. Pat Molloy as the Governor Designate of the Bank of Ireland. Mr. Pat Molloy is a former Group Chief Executive of the bank and has previously led the bank in resolving difficulties. I wish him well.”

The Minister for Finance, Mr Brian Lenihan, TD, today welcomed the vote of the Extraordinary General Meeting of Allied Irish Bank where the Ordinary Shareholders passed all the resolutions required for the Government’s planned recapitalisation of the bank to proceed:
Minister for Finance Brian Lenihan T.D. announces Finance Bill 2009 which gives effect to the proposed Supplementary Budget changes. The Supplementary Budget was introduced to restore order and stability in the public finances so that we can protect existing jobs and engender the economic confidence that will lead to further employment creation.
